1931 FORD CABRIOLET/ BLACK BEAUTY

This is a 1931 Ford all steel all real hot rod. This excellent Cabriolet body is painted shinny
black with traditional black tuck and roll interior( black carpet, black top, and black rolls.) with a custom made bench seat which easily accommodates the current driver (* 6'4' 250lb). The dash is a narrowed, and custom fit, original 1932 Ford with original 1932 Ford insert sporting a new ignition switch, Stewart Warner Oil Gauge, Stewart Warner Water Temp Gauge ( both gauges are lit). The top is fully functional and gives you the best of both worlds, you can have it up or down. side windows and regulators are in good working order. The Grill and grill insert, rear lights and rear light stantions are 1932 Ford. The front lights are new 12v dietz with So-Cal Speed Shop lights stantions.

The chassis is based on an original 1931 roadster frame that has been boxed, notched in front, and z'ed in the rear. Both the front and rear are traditional buggie spring. The rear end is Ford 9" with freeway gears and racing thick wall ladder bars. The front end is a traditional Superbell 4" drop axle w/ Original 1940 Ford Spindles (that have been re-reamed so they are nice and snug) with all new centerline and tie rod ends and a Pete and Jakes disc break conversion kit that allows 41/2 on 5 Ford Bolt pattern. The steering box is a new Saginaw box. A new dual master cylinder and pedal are installed with a traditional spoon accelerator pedal.The Chrome rims are Ford pattern with custom bullets welded in between the lug nuts and the tires are new traditional wide (the widest ones they make) Coker Bias Ply fronts 5.60 15's and rear L78-15- the tires have all been professionally balanced.

The motor is a 400 Chevy small block that has been supped up with finned valve covers 700 Holly dual feed carburetor, MSD race ignition and MSD Race Coil, Holly fuel regulator that sports a Mooneyes pressure gauge, fed with a Holly Electric Blue fuel pump and a Victory Junior Intake manifold with new 12V alternator and high cranking battery which is located behind the seat. The transmission shifter is the So-Cal Speed Shop Swan neck lock-out type. The transmission is a deep pan TH400 with finned chrome pan. The radiator is a new custom build 3row based on model A upper and lower tanks and keep the car nice and cool.
