Rat Rod Build Up! Part II 2-20-2008
The stock Ford frame is straightened and boxed and the rear and front end mounts are measured and fabricated. The motor and transmission are aligned and mounted to the frame. After all that work, and a lot of measuring, the fame is disassembled and the mounts and frame are welded 360 degrees from underneath. The body is channeled and reinforced with a steel substructure. The parts are then reassembled for the next build stage. A HOT ROD SURF hot rod is built with strength and taste-it must be strong enough to withstand today’s driving conditions and radical enough to look mean, sleek & cool.
